Let’s be honest, most people don’t read blogs as light entertainment (well, not medical cannabis blogs, anyway).
They’re looking for answers, combined with a deeper understanding of the process behind the idea.
But with blogs increasingly being taken over by clickbaity headlines, AI gibberish, and thinly veiled sales pitches, it’s little wonder that, often, neither of the above is actually ticked off.
At Releaf, we made a very conscious decision to take a totally different approach from the first blog we published. We write like we’re talking to real people - because we are. Our patients have always been the pure focus of the business, and that's represented front and centre through our huge library of blogs.
We’re less interested in constantly obsessing over stats and outperforming competitors (although we do track our numbers) than in offering something people genuinely benefit from, while also understanding that this approach will naturally bring the traffic needed to grow.
Our target audience is people who are, in many cases, desperate for a better answer. Not just a quick fix, not a trendy buzzword. A real, properly researched, unbiased explanation that helps them understand if medical cannabis might actually be the right step.
That’s why our content matters. It doesn’t just plug keywords or chase traffic, it builds confidence in people who are often anxious, overwhelmed, or not so quietly sceptical. If it doesn’t feel relevant, clear, or grounded in what patients need/want to know, it doesn’t get written.

It’s one thing to jump on the soapbox and proudly announce that your content matters. It’s another thing to see people actually reading it, sharing it, clicking through, or bringing it up in clinic conversations. That’s been our experience again and again.

Our strong internal linking plan has been in place since before the first blog was published, is audited every few months, and helps readers find what they need and keeps them engaged across the platform.
That kind of structure takes time and effort to build - but it works.
We are talking about traditional SEO, and even with the changes to how that works over the past few years, we have seen steady, consistent growth - to the point where we now dominate the digital space for medical cannabis in the UK.
