Zero Tolerance Policy

Releaf Dispensary Ltd (“Releaf”) facilitates via its website (www.releaf.co.uk) access to certain medical and pharmaceutical services which are provided by registered healthcare professionals. Releaf’s employees also provide customer support services to users of the Releaf website via chat, email and telephone. For the purposes of this policy, such healthcare professionals and Releaf’s customer support operatives shall individually and collectively be considered “staff”. Releaf takes it very seriously, and will not tolerate, if a member of staff is treated in an abusive way.

Releaf supports the principles that are set out in the government's 'Zero Tolerance' campaign for NHS staff, which states that healthcare workers have a right to care for others without fear of being attacked or abused. To successfully provide healthcare services, whether within the framework of the NHS or privately, it is crucial that staff and patients engage respectfully with each other at all times.

Our staff aim to be polite, helpful, and sensitive to all patients’ individual needs and circumstances. We respectfully remind patients that very often staff may be confronted with a multitude of varying and sometimes difficult tasks and situations, all at the same time.  Our staff understand and appreciate that patients who are suffering with illness do not always act in a reasonable manner and will take this into consideration when interacting or corresponding with patients.

IMPORTANT – however, if you act in an aggressive, violent or abusive behaviour manner towards any member of staff, Releaf reserves the right immediately and without notice or liability to either issue you with a written warning as to your conduct or disable any user identification code or password, whether chosen by you or allocated by Releaf, at any time, and to revoke your access to the Releaf website and its service.

By way of guidance, Releaf considers the following types of behaviour unacceptable:

·       Using bad language or swearing at any staff member

·       Verbal abuse

·       Racial abuse

·       Sexual harassment

·       Persistent or unrealistic demands that cause stress to staff

·       Attempting to obtain medicinal products and/or medical or pharmaceutical services fraudulently including, but not limited to, providing false, inaccurate, incomplete or misleading information.

We therefore ask you to treat all staff courteously and respectfully at all times.
