Releaf explained

Once you have completed the Releaf medical cannabis eligibility checker, submitted your medical records, and finished your initial consultation with one of our specialist doctors, you'll have just one more decision regarding your treatment options with Releaf: if you’d like to join Releaf+, or not.

Don't worry - it's not an overly complicated choice, but it is important to us that all patients fully understand the differences between the two payment schemes offered by Releaf+ and Pay As You Go.

Let's quickly run through the two options, break down the differences, and help you decide which option is best for you.

But first....

What services do both Releaf+ and Pay As You Go patients receive?

No matter if you join up as a Releaf+ member or if you prefer to pay as you go, every single Releaf patient has access to the same:

Pay As You Go explained

With Pay As You Go, patients pay for each service as they use it. This includes initial consultations, follow-ups, and prescription delivery fees. There is no ongoing financial commitment, but the costs will vary depending on the services used.

While there’s no monthly fee, the overall cost can fluctuate.

For patients needing to access multiple services within a short period, the 'Pay As You Go' model can end up costing more than a Releaf+ subscription, even if you don't access all the services offered as part of a Releaf+ membership.

That said, the Pay As You Go model does offer patients a certain level of flexibility. Patients are free to use and pay for only the services they need, such as a one-off consultation or a prescription refill, without paying for additional features they might not need.

This means that the Pay As You Go model is great for patients who need medical cannabis consultations and prescriptions less frequently. If your condition is well-managed, and you only require occasional adjustments to your treatment plan, a very low amount of monthly prescribed cannabis-based medication, or rare consultations, Pay As You Go may be the more cost-effective option for you.

Releaf+ explained

Patients who subscribe to the Releaf+ membership pay a monthly fee of £39.99 to have access to all the services offered by Releaf without needing to pay for each individual service separately.

For any patient receiving regular follow-up consultations, patients who may need ongoing support, and those who need to monitor and track their symptoms (and how their prescribed cannabis-based medication is working) frequently, the Releaf+ membership may be a better option.

What is covered for Releaf+ members?

When you sign up as a Releaf+ member, you get access to:

  • Free consultations (after your initial consultation) - follow-up consultations cost £99.99 for patients who prefer to Pay As You Go
  • Free delivery of all prescribed medical cannabis - Prescription delivery costs £4.99 for each order for patients who prefer to Pay As You Go
  • Free repeats - prescription repeat requests cost £19.99 for patients on Pay As You Go
  • Member-only prices for medication - non-member prices vary depending on the type and strength of medication

As a Releaf+ member, you also have the added benefit of a fixed monthly fee, so you know exactly how much you'll be paying each month for your treatment. This can make budgeting and managing expenses easier.
