Decarboxylation
Decarboxylation is a chemical reaction that occurs when cannabis is heated, causing its cannabinoids, and their medicinal potential, to activate.
The process of decarboxylation is a chemical reaction. When cannabis is heated, the cannabinoids inside are activated and so is their therapeutic and medicinal value. When smoked or vaped, cannabis undergoes decarboxylation at the same time as consumption, whilst in edible and oil form it happens during the manufacturing stages.
