Appetite Loss
The natural desire or instinct to eat food is known as an appetite. Certain psychological and medical conditions, as well as conventionally prescribed medications, can cause patients to experience appetite loss, which can have serious consequences to health.
Appetite loss has been associated with many different health conditions including anorexia nervosa, depression, cancer, cystic fibrosis and several gastrointestinal conditions. When appetite loss persists, many other functions are influenced because the body is lacking in energy, causing unintentional weight loss, excessive fatigue and low mood which can lead to disastrous effects on general health.
