Alzheimer’s Disease
Alzheimer’s Disease (AD) is a progressive condition that gradually destroys a person's memory, thinking skills and cognitive abilities.
Most common in those aged over 65, Alzheimer’s Disease develops over many years and can influence many different cognitive functions. Memory, thinking and emotions are all negatively impacted, leading to symptoms of anxiety, aggression and confusion. In the UK, Alzheimer’s Disease is the most common cause of dementia and is currently incurable.
