What is Releaf’s veterans discount, and how does it work?

It is all very simple. We have introduced the Releaf veteran discount as a way to remove any barriers for veterans at the beginning of their medical cannabis journey. Along with receiving a Releaf UK medical cannabis card, on paying for their first prescription, veterans now receive:

Free initial consultations

Veterans are now entitled to a cost-free initial consultation with one of the 30+ specialists who make up Releaf’s world-class clinical team. Every prescribing specialist has a wealth of experience across both conventional and medical cannabis care.

If you are a veteran and found to be eligible for a Releaf UK medical cannabis prescription after your initial consultation, you will also receive three months of Releaf+ membership at no cost.

Eligibility for the Releaf veterans discount

The Releaf veterans discount is available to any past serving members of the UK Armed Forces, no matter which branch they served in or role they filled. 

To make sure that the discount is applied fairly, we ask for confirmation of your previous service. There are a range of official documents that can be uploaded to confirm your previous service, including: 

• UK Armed Forces service records or discharge papers
• A Certificate of Service or similar MOD-issued documentation
• A Veteran's ID Card, where available
• Armed Forces or war pension documentation
• Written confirmation from a recognised service charity such as the Royal British Legion, SSAFA, or Help for Heroes

Your veteran status has zero bearing on any clinical decision-making. All treatment decisions for Releaf patients are specialist-led, based on your personal health needs, and we will not contact any veteran services or third parties as part of the clinical assessment process.
