Graham Woodward is Releaf’s Chief Medical Officer and an accomplished psychiatric nurse. He joined Releaf in 2024 and has played an instrumental role in establishing and developing the clinical governance, quality assurance and operational foundations that have supported the clinic’s subsequent growth. With over 28 years of healthcare leadership experience across the statutory, voluntary and private sectors, Graham combines his strategic business acumen (FCMI) with his nursing and mental health expertise (RMNH) to deliver safe, compliant and patient-focused cannabis therapies. A professionally trained ballet dancer, Graham began his career dancing on stages across the world, from Vienna to Barcelona to London’s West End. After retiring from ballet, he moved into healthcare, training as a mental health nurse and NHS manager. During his time in the NHS, Graham worked in some of the UK’s best-known psychiatric institutions, including Broadmoor, and later specialised in substance misuse. He then became a Medical Director in the charity sector and subsequently a Medical Science Liaison in the private sector, which led to multiple awards for innovation and presenting. Alongside his role at Releaf, Graham actively serves as a specialist advisor for the Care Quality Commission, where he offers expert guidance on the regulation and inspection of health and social care providers across England. He is extremely proud of Releaf’s growth and looks forward to maintaining the clinic’s high standards as it expands in the UK and beyond.
