Script

A script is a colloquial or slang term for a prescription, a legal document that pharmacists require to legally dispense prescription medications.

Who can issue a script in the UK?

 

In the UK, scripts can be issued by a variety of authorised healthcare professionals. These include doctors, dentists, nurse practitioners, and other qualified prescribers such as optometrists and physiotherapists.

 

What information is included in a script?
