Stigma
In cannabis plants, stigmas are hair-like strands that can be found at the end of the style in the plant's pistil. Stigmas are responsible for collecting the pollen produced by male plants.
Found in the pistil on female cannabis plants, stigmas play a vital role in reproduction. These sticky, hair-like strands protrude from the pistil so that the pollen from male plants can stick to them, enabling germination and fertilisation. Stigmas change colour over time and so they are often used to determine the age of a cannabis plant.
