Leaf

The leaves on cannabis help to identify which species the plant belongs to. Cannabis Sativa plants typically have long and thin leaves, whilst Cannabis Indica plants are known to have shorter and thicker leaves.

Cannabis leaves work in a similar fashion to solar panels, by absorbing sunlight so that it can be used as energy to sustain the plant. The leaves found on Cannabis Sativa plants, and often used as a symbol for cannabis, are called fan leaves because of the way their points spread apart wide, whilst the smaller leaves found near buds are called sugar leaves.
